Where on EARTH has people humanity gone to??

In the last six, excruciatingly long months, I have never felt more disgusted to be American in my life. I have seen time and time again people outright announce that they don't care about Palestinian lives, and I'm left wondering "who even raised these people??" The lack of empathy from people my own age is especially vile, why in the world can't they just take a second to even try to think about what the average Palestinian goes through each day. We're so unbelievably privileged, going to a large university, clean clothes and water, food to eat, phones to type on. People can't even understand that ignoring posts about Palestine IS a privilege. They are able to recognize generalization of jewish people to be antisemitism, yet they generalize all of Palestine and muslisms. Merely criticising Israel is antisemitism to them, yet they think every civilian is a member of Hamas. If my country was forcibly taken over, my grandparents exiled, my parents arrested and neighbors killed, I would want to resist too. Their only options are to resist or die. But of course, if this were happening in the 40s and there was a resistance group of jewish people, there would be no problem! I shouldn't have to keep reiterating that being a victim of a genocide in the past is not an excuse to do it to another group of people. They're not even ready to talk about Palestine's soccer team being older than Israel. I feel like a broken record, having to keep reminding people that no, under no circumstance is it okay to bomb a hospital of all places. The IDF does not defend. They only kill. The world goes up in arms about the fourty fake Israeli babies, but when there is actual, tangible evidence of palestinian babies left to die in a NICU, I do not care how many times I will be called antisemitic, I cannot stand for a country that kills children. period. I know I could lose friends or family members over this, but I don't care. That pain will NEVER amount to the grief experienced daily in Palestine.
